I used Wyrem hose that I bought from Arco, the industrial equipment supplier.  See http://www.arco.co.uk/cgi-bin/arcobvp.dll/Arco/controller?event=product&productcode=3659051

It's available in a diameter that's fractionally larger than the air filter inlet. It's a matt black fabric finish with a single yellow stripe along its length, and has a wire coil inside to give it strength.   I just turned the yellow out of sight and it looks very authentic.  Arco only sell this in 9m lengths unless you catch them with an end-of-roll piece or offcut as I did, but there are probably other suppliers of the same thing.

I did suggest to Bamforths that they buy in 9m lengths and sell it on to Sunbeamers in short lengths, but they didn't pursue it.
