Hi Mike,yes there were two different length's of rear trim.I have concluded the 1953 Alpines with the pointy overiders had the shorter trim, and the later cars with the more rounded top overiders had the longer trim,theres about 3"or4" difference in length. All the Six Works Alpines MKV 21-26 had short rear body trims,Good luck,Mal Clark.

  I just tried to fit up my long rear pieces of trim, and the stud to the rear has no hole in the body?  On checking my  pictures of various cars, I think I see 2 different lengths, could this be?
  Hope so,  trim is all redone and if it fits, its going on.  
  I bought my car in parts, so everything has been a big puzzle, but,  almost finished.
