Hello Bob,
We are also hoping you become bionic soon too. Although these "repairs" can
be scary at least parts are available (not like our cars!). I am chasing a
transmission leak and original radio install this summer-both are keeping
this retired body busy.
Best of luck friend.
Don

Bob. Sorry to hear the disappointing news, But titanium is a precious
metal such that you will be worth a lot when they bury you!! I have two big
titanium joints - have had for 16 years - and they seem to operate better than
the original equipment. But the infection is scary. Be sure you follow
doctor's orders so you are better for next year's activities.
Frank

October8th to 11th
Hi everyone,
I have had a serious setback with my motorcycle accident recovery after 3
months on the mend as a bone infection set in about 2 weeks ago and I was
back in the hospital to have the pins, plates etc., replaced with antibiotic
ones and now have home care nurses coming in every day to administer an
antibiotic intra-venously (PICC line) for the next 3 weeks. To make matters
even worse, I have to have this antibiotic hardware replaced with Titanium
in about 5 weeks. How much medical abuse can a man take? Lots! This had
ruined an otherwise perfect summer.
Obviously, because of all this medical crap, I have very reluctantly been
forced to cancel my reservations for the Owls Head event in Rockland, ME
which I was so much looking forward to attending and meeting all our online
subscribers who are coming up this way. My Sunbeam Talbots and Alpine have
not moved from their winter storage positions in the garage but been started
every 6 weeks or so to keep them active. Sadly, it looks like they won't
be put to use until next summer. Bummer!
In any case, I am sure this will be a memorable experience for all of you
attending. Have fun!
Regards,
Bob
