Thanks for your suggestions Martin,
I appreciate the assistance that everyone on the list has provided me. If
my wheel restoration is unsatisfactory, I shall look at contacting Gerry at
Wheelwrights as a last resort. Ray Mead may be able to assist with hub cap
badges but I am having problems getting back to him at present as emails
directly to him seem to be bouncing on a server somewhere at his end.
Thanks again Martin and all others.
Regards
John Timermanis

Subject: Spare parts for 54 Alpine Mk1
Hi everyone,
As some of you may already know, restoration of my Mk1 is now underway after
10 years of it just sitting there. I find myself needing several small
items. If any of you good folk are able to supply me with any of these items
or know of somewhere I can obtain them from, I would be very interested to
hear from you. The items I require are as follows:
* Thermostat housing (part number P.87374)
* Hub cap badges (at least 2 of them)
* Alpine badge (the front guard Alpine word ) either a replacement or
where I could get my broken one repaired. - mounting pins re-attached and
letter 'e' re-attached to the rest of the badge.
* Rubber seals -
* Bottom of windscreen
* Top of windscreen
* Boot lid channel
* Door seals
* Spare wheel hatch
* Steering wheel - though I am still prepared to have a go at
restoring it myself.
* Heater unit - (not that my Alpine has one at all, it was an export
model to the Tropics so a heater was the last thing it needed however
Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, does get chilly). Anybody got a
spare one???
Thanks, hope someone can help. Bill Clark, thanks for your assistance. I
have 5 tyres lined up from Rod in Brisbane and hopefully, full gasket kit
(and most importantly, head gasket) from Automotive Surplus in Melbourne,
just waiting to hear back from Reg.
King regards
