Hi Vic, this is the information I have  The Chassis number is in the same place as the later Talbots, ie  down on the left hand chassis rail, along side the jacking point just under the bumper, on the front of the car,usually underseal and dirt hide's the number so do some scrapping. Now officially there wasn't a produced WSM for the 48 Talbot,only a Dealer Loose leaf manual, for their workshop use,these manual's were added to as Rootes sent out more information, these early manuals covered 80s and 90s.it wasn't until 1950 a produced manual was realeased and that was for the 90 only,  Anyway as luck would have it, Bob Stewart ( 03 9878 4138. Melbourne) does have one of the Dealer Manuals, also a Parts Book,and a Handbook, for the 1948-50 Talbot Supreme, if George is wanting to buy them,tell him to give Bob a ring, good luck. Mal Clark.

  Hi folks,

  I have received an email from George Winter somewhere in Australia who has a 1948 Sunbeam Talbot Supreme (he didn't say which model but I have asked him), and is looking for:

  1)      The serial number (chassis number)

  2)      A workshop manual

  I have suggested that he join this list, but meanwhile if anyone can help please let me know.
