ExhaustBefore you change the exhaust diameter, consider the fact that a large pipe reduces velocity and may actually cause a negative effect.
Take a look at: http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=659727

This presumes that the in situ system is not undersized.

Hi Ricardo,my experiance, with my Works prepared Alpine, with the exhaust out the side, was being a RHD car was not the fumes but the constant noise in your right ear, quite annoying, you will not have that problem being LHD. if you want larger pipes take it out the side. Just check the law, if your exhaust does come out the side, it will be pointing towards your kerb side, there used to be a regulation preventing this, not sure about today's rules, good luck Mal Clark.

    Hi,

There seem to be two choices for the exhaust. Run it out the side just in front of the rear wheel, or run it out the back. If I run it out the side I can use a large diameter exhaust pipe but then the fumes can be annoying when in slow traffic., If I run the exhaust out the back the clearances are terrible and I will end up using a smaller diameter pipe, which will cut down on hp. Is there someway to run a larger pipe out the rear without exposing the exhaust system when looking at the car from the side??

Also, I'm looking for a bottom rear body panel which fits under the rear bumper (part # H92694 same as saloon and conv. Coupe)

    Thanks,
    Ricardo
